A top price for Cui Guotai - as previously expected
In March 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Asia, which included the work Top Mountain by Cui Guotai. The price achieved of USD 24,000.00 (€ 17,945.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Top Mountain is the most expensive artwork by Cui Guotai that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia durch, in der auch die Arbeit Top Mountain von Cui Guotai zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 24.000,00 (€ 17.945,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Top Mountain das teuerste Kunstwerk von Cui Guotai, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
