Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Cui Guotai could be acquired at Phillips in London in April 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the BRIC Theme Sale auction, the work My Lost Studio 1 changed hands for GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,445.46) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Cui Guotai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Top Mountain in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 24,000.00 (€ 17,945.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cui Guotai konnte im April 2010 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion BRIC Theme Sale wechselte die Arbeit My Lost Studio 1 für GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.445,46) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cui Guotai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Top Mountain im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 24.000,00 (€ 17.945,27).
