Die Arbeit Luggage von Cristóbal Toral kam im Dezember 2016 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 18.953,75) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cristóbal Toral auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Interior Con Bodegón im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 83.650,00.
