Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Vegetable Garden, 1988 by Cressida Campbell was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. It achieved a price of AUD 14,760.00 (€ 8,846.64), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 23%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cressida Campbell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work From the Balcony (Triptych), which sold at auction in August 2003 for AUD 47,000.00 (€ 27,765.34).

Die Arbeit Vegetable Garden, 1988 von Cressida Campbell kam im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von AUD 14.760,00 (€ 8.846,64) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 23%. Für andere Arbeiten von Cressida Campbell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit From the Balcony (Triptych) beobachtet, die im August 2003 für AUD 47.000,00 (€ 27.765,34) versteigert wurde.
