Auction result well in line with expectations
In August last year Bonhams in Sidney held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Resting Butterfly, 2006 by Cressida Campbell. The price achieved of AUD 36,900.00 (€ 25,171.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Other works by Cressida Campbell have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2003 the work From the Balcony (Triptych) was auctioned for AUD 47,000.00 (€ 27,765.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Sidney die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Resting Butterfly, 2006 von Cressida Campbell zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 36.900,00 (€ 25.171,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Cressida Campbell konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im August 2003 die Arbeit From the Balcony (Triptych) für AUD 47.000,00 (€ 27.765,34) versteigert.
