Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work WOW by Crash was auctioned at Bonhams in January this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 600.00 – 800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 510.00 (€ 469.70). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Crash achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Swish in December 2021 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 55,221.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit WOW von Crash im Januar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 510,00 (€ 469,70) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Crash erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Swish im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 55.221,77).
