This artwork by Craigie Aitchison achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in June this year. In the Prints and Multiples auction, the work Indian Print II sold for GBP 1,408.00 (€ 1,638.67) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Craigie Aitchison achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nandi Bull in Front of Temple III in November 2021 with an auction result of GBP 138,600.00 (€ 162,729.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 76 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Craigie Aitchison erzielte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints and Multiples wurde die Arbeit Indian Print II für GBP 1.408,00 (€ 1.638,67) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Craigie Aitchison erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nandi Bull in Front of Temple III im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 138.600,00 (€ 162.729,44).
