It achieved a price of USD 44,100.00 (€ 36,341.16), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 47%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cornelis van Poelenburgh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Self-portrait, which sold at auction in January 2021 for GBP 100,800.00 (€ 113,990.80).

Die Arbeit Diana and her attendants in a landscape with the spoils of the hunt von Cornelis van Poelenburgh kam im Januar 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 36.341,16) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47%. Für andere Arbeiten von Cornelis van Poelenburgh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Self-portrait beobachtet, die im Januar 2021 für GBP 100.800,00 (€ 113.990,80) versteigert wurde.
