In September 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Online | Part I: Property from the SØR Rusche Collection | Part II: Property from Various Owners, which included the work A Shepherdess Holding A Coin, Bust-Length, Facing Left by Cornelis van Poelenburgh. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,115.72), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis van Poelenburgh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self-portrait in January 2021 with an auction result of GBP 100,800.00 (€ 113,990.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im September 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Online | Part I: Property from the SØR Rusche Collection | Part II: Property from Various Owners durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Shepherdess Holding A Coin, Bust-Length, Facing Left von Cornelis van Poelenburgh zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.115,72) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelis van Poelenburgh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Self-portrait im Januar 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 100.800,00 (€ 113.990,80).
