Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Italianate Landscape With A Traveller On A Path by Cornelis van Poelenburgh was sold in the Old Master and British Drawings Including Property from the Descendants of Walter Brandt auction at Sothebys in London in July 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,324.65) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis van Poelenburgh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self-portrait in January 2021 with an auction result of GBP 100,800.00 (€ 113,990.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Italianate Landscape With A Traveller On A Path von Cornelis van Poelenburgh wurde im Juli 2011 in der Auktion Old Master and British Drawings Including Property from the Descendants of Walter Brandt bei Sothebys in London versteigert.
