Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portrait of a lady, three-quarter-length, in a black vlieger brocade gown, with an elongated embroidered stomacher and embroidered mill ruff, holding a chain by Cornelis van der Voort was sold in the Old Masters Day Sale auction at Christies in London in July 2018. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,219.82). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis van der Voort achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a lady, three-quarter-length, in a black vlieger brocade gown, with an elongated embroidered stomacher, lace-trimmed cuffs and a cartwheel ruff trimmed with reticella lace in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 242,500.00 (€ 288,142.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, three-quarter-length, in a black vlieger brocade gown, with an elongated embroidered stomacher and embroidered mill ruff, holding a chain von Cornelis van der Voort wurde im Juli 2018 in der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, three-quarter-length, in a black vlieger brocade gown, with an elongated embroidered stomacher, lace-trimmed cuffs and a cartwheel ruff trimmed with reticella lace im Juli 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 242.500,00 (€ 288.142,46).
