The work Portrait Of A Lady, Half-Length, Wearing A Red And Black Richly Embroidered Jacket, A White Ruff And A White Headdress by Cornelis van der Voort was worth GBP 48,500.00 (€ 61,830.65) to a buyer in April 2008. This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings Sale at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Cornelis van der Voort have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of a lady, three-quarter-length, in a black vlieger brocade gown, with an elongated embroidered stomacher, lace-trimmed cuffs and a cartwheel ruff trimmed with reticella lace in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 242,500.00 (€ 288,142.46).
