Admittedly, works by Cornelis Stangerus have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A gentleman seated at a table with two serving girls in July 2003 with an auction result of GBP 57,360.00 (€ 74,973.39).

Die Arbeit An earthenware jug, a bun, a 'Roemer', sliced herring on a pewter plate and a 'Kometenglas' on a partially draped table von Cornelis Stangerus kam im April 2010 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 10.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 7.000,00 – 10.000,00.
