Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2005 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work A love of literature by Cornelis Raaphorst. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 7,200.00 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cornelis Raaphorst - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Bird Cage, which sold at auction in October 2006 for EUR 15,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2005 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit A love of literature von Cornelis Raaphorst zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 7.200,00 und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Raaphorst mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Bird Cage beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für EUR 15.600,00 versteigert wurde.
