In the Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work A Flowering Orchard sold for EUR 5,760.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Cornelis Kuypers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Roses, Peonies, Cineria, Tulips, A Great Mullein And Other Flowers In A Sculpted Vase, A Pineapple, Grapes, Peaches And Other Fruit On A Marble Ledge, With A Perch On A Fishing Rod, A Caterpillar, A Fly, A Spider And Ants in April 2013 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 26,551.30).
