Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work A Still Life With Parrot Tulips, Poppies, Roses, Snow Balls, And Other Flowers In A Glass Vase Over A Stone Ledge by Cornelis Kick. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 61,250.00 (€ 70,293.54) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cornelis Kick - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life With Peonies, Roses, Irises, Poppies And A Tulip With Butterflies, A Dragonfly And Other Insects On A Ledge, which sold at auction in January 2008 for USD 337,000.00 (€ 227,073.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Still Life With Parrot Tulips, Poppies, Roses, Snow Balls, And Other Flowers In A Glass Vase Over A Stone Ledge von Cornelis Kick zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 61.250,00 (€ 70.293,54) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Kick mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life With Peonies, Roses, Irises, Poppies And A Tulip With Butterflies, A Dragonfly And Other Insects On A Ledge beobachtet, die im Januar 2008 für USD 337.000,00 (€ 227.073,65) versteigert wurde.
