Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Bonhams in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Portrait of a lady, said to be Lady Sidley, in a black dress slashed to reveal white, within a painted stone oval by Cornelis Jonson van Ceulen. The price achieved of GBP 10,240.00 (€ 11,946.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis Jonson van Ceulen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Lady, Traditionally Identified As Lady Corbett, Half-Length, In A Black Dress Adorned With Pink Rosettes And A Reticella Lace Collar, Cartwheel Ruff And Headdress, In A Feigned Oval in April 2016 with an auction result of GBP 158,500.00 (€ 202,610.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, said to be Lady Sidley, in a black dress slashed to reveal white, within a painted stone oval von Cornelis Jonson van Ceulen zur Versteigerung kam. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady, Traditionally Identified As Lady Corbett, Half-Length, In A Black Dress Adorned With Pink Rosettes And A Reticella Lace Collar, Cartwheel Ruff And Headdress, In A Feigned Oval im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 158.500,00 (€ 202.610,13).
