Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2015 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings, which included the work Head of a woman by Cornelis Cornelisz. van Haarlem. It changed hands for a price of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 12,239.06) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis Cornelisz. van Haarlem achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hercules And Achelous in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 8,105,000.00 (€ 5,206,192.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Head of a woman von Cornelis Cornelisz. van Haarlem zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 12.239,06) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Cornelisz. van Haarlem erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hercules And Achelous im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.105.000,00 (€ 5.206.192,19).
