Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Constantijn Netscher could be acquired at Christies in London in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Collection of the late Lord and Lady Swaythling auction, the work Portrait of a gentleman, small three-quarter-length, seated, in a brown cloak, a seascape beyond changed hands for GBP 900.00 (€ 1,058.76) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Constantijn Netscher achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Young Hunter In A Landscape With His Dog in February 2018 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 32,757.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
