Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Double Bay by Conrad Martens was auctioned at Christies in Sydney in August 2003. The price achieved of AUD 3,525.00 (€ 2,082.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Conrad Martens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ausa Campbell'S Wharf in May 2009 with an auction result of AUD 576,000.00 (€ 325,921.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Double Bay von Conrad Martens kam im August 2003 bei Christies in Sydney zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 3.525,00 (€ 2.082,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Conrad Martens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ausa Campbell'S Wharf im Mai 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 576.000,00 (€ 325.921,56).
