Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work A setter in a moorland landscape by Colin Graeme Roe for GBP 3,585.00 (€ 5,366.42). This price was achieved in the auction British and Victorian including Scottish Paintings at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Colin Graeme Roe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Shin-a-beg a bay horse in a phaeton, with a terrier and a pug in a stable yard, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 7,637.50 (€ 11,813.48).
