This artwork by Clyde Waddell achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in April 2011. In the Travel, Science and Natural History auction, the work A Yank's Memories of Calcutta sold for GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,533.89) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Clyde Waddell; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A Yank's Memories of Calcutta sold at auction in November 2003 with the realized price of GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,373.46).

Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Clyde Waddell; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit A Yank's Memories of Calcutta im November 2003 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 2.350,00 (€ 3.373,46).
