In May 2000 Christies in London held the auction Fine Photographs, which included the work 'A Yank's Memories of Calcutta', circa 1945 by Clyde Waddell. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,292.50 (€ 2,073.99), 44% above the upper estimate. Other works by Clyde Waddell have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,373.46) in November 2003 for the work A Yank's Memories of Calcutta.
