Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 57th & 7th by Clyde Singer was sold in the Two Centuries: American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. It changed hands for a price of USD 56,700.00 (€ 48,284.08) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Clyde Singer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Rush Hour in May this year with an auction result of USD 216,400.00 (€ 203,116.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 57th & 7th von Clyde Singer wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Two Centuries: American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 56.700,00 (€ 48.284,08) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Clyde Singer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Rush Hour im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 216.400,00 (€ 203.116,20).
