In May this year Bonhams in Paris held the auction American Art, which included the work Autumn by Clyde Singer. The »bidding war« ended at USD 38,400.00 (€ 36,042.80), 54% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Clyde Singer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Rush Hour in May this year with an auction result of USD 216,400.00 (€ 203,116.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 54 % übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Autumn von Clyde Singer zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 38.400,00 (€ 36.042,80) und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Clyde Singer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Rush Hour im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 216.400,00 (€ 203.116,20).
