This artwork by Clyde Aspevig achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. In the Majestic America: Property from an Important Western Collector, Part II auction, the work High Country Lakes sold for USD 44,100.00 (€ 37,554.29) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Clyde Aspevig; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Mesa Vista Moon Rise sold at auction in October 2020 with the realized price of USD 62,500.00 (€ 53,661.89).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Clyde Aspevig erzielte im März 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Majestic America: Property from an Important Western Collector, Part II wurde die Arbeit High Country Lakes für USD 44.100,00 (€ 37.554,29) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Clyde Aspevig; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Mesa Vista Moon Rise im Oktober 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 53.661,89).
