Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
When the work Vue De Paris by Claude Venard was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in March last year, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 7,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at EUR 24,928.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Claude Venard; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot La partie de cartes sold at auction in June 2014 with the realized price of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 46,854.46).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Vue De Paris von Claude Venard im März letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 7.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 24.928,00 mehr als dreimal so hoch. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Claude Venard; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit La partie de cartes im Juni 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 46.854,46).
