This artwork by Claude T. Stanfield Moore achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2005. In the MARITIME PICTURES auction, the work Repairing Dock, East Greenwich; And Lying At Anchor At Dusk, East Greenwich (Both Illustrated) sold for GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,577.71) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Claude T. Stanfield Moore - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Houses of Parliament, Westminster, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 20,400.00 (€ 30,272.57).
