Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Study For ‘Scene Near Feldkirch In The Tyrol’ by Clarkson Stanfield for GBP 750.00 (€ 902.13). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clarkson Stanfield achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Castle Cornet, Guernsey in May 2004 with an auction result of GBP 35,850.00 (€ 53,788.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Study For ‘Scene Near Feldkirch In The Tyrol’ von Clarkson Stanfield für GBP 750,00 (€ 902,13) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Clarkson Stanfield erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Castle Cornet, Guernsey im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.850,00 (€ 53.788,20).
