Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Bonhams in London held the auction The Marine Sale, which included the work 'On the Zuyder Zee' by Clarkson Stanfield. The price achieved of GBP 12,750.00 (€ 15,203.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Clarkson Stanfield - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Castle Cornet, Guernsey, which sold at auction in May 2004 for GBP 35,850.00 (€ 53,788.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Marine Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'On the Zuyder Zee' von Clarkson Stanfield zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.750,00 (€ 15.203,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Clarkson Stanfield mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Castle Cornet, Guernsey beobachtet, die im Mai 2004 für GBP 35.850,00 (€ 53.788,20) versteigert wurde.
