This artwork by Clarice Beckett achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Melbourne in April 2006. In the Australian, International & Contemporary Paintings Part II auction, the work Winter Morning, Beaumaris sold for AUD 31,070.00 (€ 18,687.78) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Clarice Beckett have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Evening, (Beach Road, Beaumaris) in November last year with an auction result of AUD 172,200.00 (€ 112,047.60).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Clarice Beckett erzielte im April 2006 bei Christies in Melbourne einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Australian, International & Contemporary Paintings Part II wurde die Arbeit Winter Morning, Beaumaris für AUD 31.070,00 (€ 18.687,78) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Clarice Beckett auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Evening, (Beach Road, Beaumaris) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 172.200,00 (€ 112.047,60).
