Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Clarence Sinclair Bull could be acquired at Christies in New York in January 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the THE HOUSE SALE auction, the work Selected images of Hollywood stars and their cars, 1930s-1950s changed hands for USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,471.38) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Clarence Sinclair Bull - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greta Garbo, publicity portrait for “Anna Christie” (dir. Jacques Feyder), 1930, which sold at auction in November this year for EUR 4,410.00.
