Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work The Speaker Turning by Clare Noel Shenstone. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,796.36). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clare Noel Shenstone achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wax Head of Francis Bacon in February 2006 with an auction result of GBP 14,400.00 (€ 21,179.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Speaker Turning von Clare Noel Shenstone zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.530,00 (€ 1.796,36) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Clare Noel Shenstone erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wax Head of Francis Bacon im Februar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.400,00 (€ 21.179,17).
