The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,295.00 (€ 2,694.55), 53% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Clare Noel Shenstone have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wax Head of Francis Bacon in February 2006 with an auction result of GBP 14,400.00 (€ 21,179.17).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.295,00 (€ 2.694,55) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Clare Noel Shenstone auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wax Head of Francis Bacon im Februar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.400,00 (€ 21.179,17).
