This artwork by Clara Peeters achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2007. In the Old Master Paintings Day Sale auction, the work Still Life With Pears, An Apple, An Apricot, Almonds And Walnuts On A Tazza With Grapes, A Walnut, An Apricot, Cherries And Almonds On A Stone Ledge sold for GBP 434,900.00 (€ 590,955.33) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Clara Peeters - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roses, Lilies, An Iris And Other Flowers In An Earthenware Vase, With A Pot Of Carnations And A Butterfly On A Ledge, which sold at auction in June last year for USD 1,500,000.00 (€ 1,432,801.60).

Für andere Arbeiten von Clara Peeters mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Roses, Lilies, An Iris And Other Flowers In An Earthenware Vase, With A Pot Of Carnations And A Butterfly On A Ledge beobachtet, die im Juni letzten Jahres für USD 1.500.000,00 (€ 1.432.801,60) versteigert wurde.
