The price achieved of GBP 127,250.00 (€ 162,082.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Clara Peeters have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Roses, Lilies, An Iris And Other Flowers In An Earthenware Vase, With A Pot Of Carnations And A Butterfly On A Ledge in June last year with an auction result of USD 1,500,000.00 (€ 1,432,801.60).
