This artwork by Clara Peeters achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2018. In the Old Masters Evening Sale auction, the work Still Life With Flowers In A Glass Vase Surrounded By Insects And A Snail sold for GBP 634,000.00 (€ 710,853.41) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Clara Peeters - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roses, Lilies, An Iris And Other Flowers In An Earthenware Vase, With A Pot Of Carnations And A Butterfly On A Ledge, which sold at auction in June last year for USD 1,500,000.00 (€ 1,432,801.60).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Clara Peeters erzielte im Juli 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Still Life With Flowers In A Glass Vase Surrounded By Insects And A Snail für GBP 634.000,00 (€ 710.853,41) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 350.000,00.
