Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings & Sculpture, which included the work A Still Life With Fish In A Ceramic Collander, Oysters, Langoustines, Mackerel And A Cat On The Ledge Beneath by Clara Peeters. The price achieved of USD 68,500.00 (€ 49,945.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clara Peeters achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roses, Lilies, An Iris And Other Flowers In An Earthenware Vase, With A Pot Of Carnations And A Butterfly On A Ledge in June last year with an auction result of USD 1,500,000.00 (€ 1,432,801.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Still Life With Fish In A Ceramic Collander, Oysters, Langoustines, Mackerel And A Cat On The Ledge Beneath von Clara Peeters zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 68.500,00 (€ 49.945,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Clara Peeters erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Roses, Lilies, An Iris And Other Flowers In An Earthenware Vase, With A Pot Of Carnations And A Butterfly On A Ledge im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.500.000,00 (€ 1.432.801,60).
