Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work A Still Life Of Lilies, Roses, Iris, Pansies, Columbine, Love-In-A-Mist, Larkspur And Other Flowers In A Glass Vase On A Table Top, Flanked By A Rose And A Carnation by Clara Peeters. The price achieved of USD 278,500.00 (€ 176,847.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Admittedly, works by Clara Peeters have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Roses, Lilies, An Iris And Other Flowers In An Earthenware Vase, With A Pot Of Carnations And A Butterfly On A Ledge in June last year with an auction result of USD 1,500,000.00 (€ 1,432,801.60).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 278.500,00 (€ 176.847,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden.
