Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Claes Moeyaert could be acquired at Christies in London in December this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Masters Part II: Paintings, Sculpture, Drawings and Watercolours auction, the work The Raising of Lazarus changed hands for GBP 4,410.00 (€ 5,080.15) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claes Moeyaert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The worship of the Golden Calf in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 59,217.58).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Claes Moeyaert konnte im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Masters Part II: Paintings, Sculpture, Drawings and Watercolours wechselte die Arbeit The Raising of Lazarus für GBP 4.410,00 (€ 5.080,15) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Claes Moeyaert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The worship of the Golden Calf im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 49.250,00 (€ 59.217,58).
