Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Cinga Samson could be acquired at Bonhams in London in October 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary African Art auction, the work Gathering I; Gathering II & Man of God. (3). changed hands for GBP 5,687.50 (€ 6,315.48) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cinga Samson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lift Off in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 321,300.00 (€ 380,653.72).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Cinga Samson konnte im Oktober 2020 bei Bonhams in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary African Art wechselte die Arbeit Gathering I; Gathering II & Man of God. (3). für GBP 5.687,50 (€ 6.315,48) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 9.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cinga Samson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lift Off im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 321.300,00 (€ 380.653,72).
