Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Kampung Life by Chuah Thean Teng was auctioned at Bonhams in Hong Kong in April 2020. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 63,125.00 (€ 7,433.25). Admittedly, works by Chuah Thean Teng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gotong Royong in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 37,563.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Kampung Life von Chuah Thean Teng kam im April 2020 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 63.125,00 (€ 7.433,25) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chuah Thean Teng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gotong Royong im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 37.563,99).
