Auction result well in line with expectations
The work BULLOCK CARTS by Chuah Thean Teng was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2016. It changed hands for a price of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 10,662.46) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chuah Thean Teng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gotong Royong, which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 325,000.00 (€ 37,563.99).

Die Arbeit BULLOCK CARTS von Chuah Thean Teng kam im November 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 10.662,46) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chuah Thean Teng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gotong Royong beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für HKD 325.000,00 (€ 37.563,99) versteigert wurde.
