Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Joy in Plain and Sight by Chua Lam was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in February this year. It achieved a price of HKD 23,940.00 (€ 2,876.77), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Admittedly, works by Chua Lam have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in Running Script in March last year with an auction result of HKD 100,800.00 (€ 11,603.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Joy in Plain and Sight von Chua Lam kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 23.940,00 (€ 2.876,77) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chua Lam auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 100.800,00 (€ 11.603,86).
