The work Calligraphy in Running Script - May You Welcome Happiness with the Spring by Chua Lam was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in March last year. The price achieved of HKD 10,710.00 (€ 1,232.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chua Lam have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in Running Script in March last year with an auction result of HKD 100,800.00 (€ 11,603.86).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script - May You Welcome Happiness with the Spring von Chua Lam kam im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 10.710,00 (€ 1.232,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chua Lam auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 100.800,00 (€ 11.603,86).
