Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy in Running Script by Chua Lam was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. The price achieved of HKD 10,710.00 (€ 1,271.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chua Lam have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in Running Script in March last year with an auction result of HKD 100,800.00 (€ 11,603.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script von Chua Lam kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 10.710,00 (€ 1.271,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chua Lam auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 100.800,00 (€ 11.603,86).
