Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Evening On The Salmonier River - Fall At My Place by Christopher Pratt for CAD 2,700.00 (€ 1,938.61). This price was achieved in the auction Important Canadian Art at Sothebys in Toronto and was even below the estimate range of CAD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christopher Pratt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Door in May 2011 with an auction result of CAD 140,500.00 (€ 100,879.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Evening On The Salmonier River - Fall At My Place von Christopher Pratt für CAD 2.700,00 (€ 1.938,61) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Canadian Art bei Sothebys in Toronto erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von CAD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christopher Pratt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French Door im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 140.500,00 (€ 100.879,31).
