Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled (Man Swimming) by Christopher Orr was sold in the Contemporary Art Online auction at Sothebys in London in July 2018. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,924.27), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Christopher Orr - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Thin Air, which sold at auction in April 2018 for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,236.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Man Swimming) von Christopher Orr wurde im Juli 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 3.924,27) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Christopher Orr mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Thin Air beobachtet, die im April 2018 für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.236,17) versteigert wurde.
