Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Christopher Fox Payne could be acquired at Christies in New York in April 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Fuel for Thought; and three companion works changed hands for USD 625.00 (€ 472.45) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Christopher Fox Payne - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flight Plan; and three companion works, which sold at auction in April 2012 for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,417.34).
