Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Christopher Chiappa could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Van Gogh, 1999 changed hands for USD 1,250.00 (€ 871.81) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Other works by Christopher Chiappa have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2005 by the work Van Gogh at USD 1,320.00 (€ 1,094.71).

Andere Arbeiten von Christopher Chiappa wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im September 2005 die Arbeit Van Gogh mit USD 1.320,00 (€ 1.094,71).
